Sunny, warm days and golf are soon to come!

Cannon Valley Lutheran High School is sponsoring its 4^th Annual Golf Tournament, and we’d love having you participate in this event. The tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 23^rd, 2013, at the Legacy Golf Course in Faribault. This is a 4-person team, scramble format with  check-in at 12:15 pm, and a shotgun start at 1:00pm. Cost per golfer is $85, or $300 per team of four. This fee includes 18 holes, two carts, and dinner. Contests will be held on selected holes, as well.

This tournament is for men and women of all skill levels and is a benefit for CVLHS. As well as the need for players is the need for hole sponsorships. If you are able or know of an individual, group, or business that may be interested, please forward this information to them. Hole sponsorships are $100. A “memorial” hole sponsorship is also available for $50 in memory of a loved one.

This semester's chapel offerings are going to be sent to help the work of Lutheran Bible Translators Rob and Mical Hilbert as they travel to Sierra Leone later this year to work on translating the Old Testament into the local language. You can follow them on their blog, Range Life.

Minnesota Prairie Roots

At CVLHS, we're always looking for ways to improve our students' education. We also want to enhance the memories our students and their families have of their experience here. To that end, some of the things we need most are:

• A digital video camera
• A microphone compatible with our sound system
• A used truck and trailer
• Bookshelves and/or another type of storage system

If you can help out with these or any other needed school items, please contact the school office or one of the board members.
