CONGRATULATIONS MEGAN QUIRAM - Friday, February 20, 2009

Cannon Valley player becomes 2nd to score 1,000 points

by Jay Schneider, LIFE/Enterprise Managing Editor

MORRISTOWN - Cannon Valley Lutheran junior Megan Quiram became the second player and first girl, to reach the 1,000 career point total Monday afternoon in a 61-20 win over the North Metro Blazers.

Quiram scored her 1,000 career point on a lay-up midway through the blowout of the Blazers Monday.

She finished with 22 points in the game and now has 1,012 in her career.  Brent Lamont finished with 1,388 points for the Cannon Valley Lutheran boys team last year.

These are the only two players in the school's history to eclipse the plateau.

"It is a great accomplishment to reach this milestone in girls basketball, especially during your junior year," Cannon Valley Lutheran head coach Lynnette Velzke said.  "Despite her God given ability and talent, Megan plays the game with humble confidence.  She is very coachable, and she is always working to improve herself to become a better basketball player, and encourages her teammates to improve as well.  It has been a joy to be coaching her in our program the last two years."

Quiram scored 291 points as a freshman and improved to 332 points last year.  Now, as a 6-foot, 4-inch junior, Quiram is averaging nearly 17 points per game and has scored 389 points heading into the post-season playoffs next week.

RENWEB FOR THE PARENTS - Thursday, November 20, 2008

Parents and students can now see their daily school work grades, homework, test grades, quiz grades and so much more.  We are still uploading information to the site, but we plan to have it fully operational by the beginning of December.

This site is everything that the parents have been asking for (and some of the students dreading).

To log in for the first time, go to www.renweb.com, click on "Parent's Web Login" on the left side of the screen, enter in CVLHS-MN for the school code/id, click on the "First Time User's" tab if this is your first time, enter in the information and click on "New Parent Login".  This is the same procedure if you are a student and want to see your grades as well.  The system will email you a password.  After you receive your password, go back to the "Parent's Web Login" and log in.  You can change your password at any time.

If you receive an error, please contact School Barb and she will set you up so you may get in immediately, just have your current email address handy.

Thanks again and we hope that everyone will enjoy the site.

Attention Parents:  Teachers can now enter homework assignments on this site and on RenWeb.  Our goal is to have RenWeb be the primary site for you to view all of your student's secure information.  Because we have been experiencing techincal difficulties with our internet, we have not been able to add daily entries.

PASTORS CAN BLOG - Friday, August 29, 2008

WHAT IS A BLOG?  By using a website to reach a large number of people, a blog can be used to voice an opinion, update information, ask a question or answer a question and much more.  You can put out a general question to the "world" and they will give you an answer or opinion.  It can even be used for announcements, specific or general.  Your imagination is the limit of uses for this function.

All of the Association Churches for CVLHS now have the capability to "blog" on this site.

To start blogging: register at the top of this page, call CVLHS school office so School Barb can get you your special privilages (one time only), then go to "Kiosk", "Association Churches" and click on "Start Blogging".

Have an opinion about the upcoming elections and what it means for the church body?  Lets hear it.  This is your area.  We hope you enjoy it.
